High School Coaches this is what you
have been waiting for, a way to keep your wrestlers wrestling in the off
season. USA is kicking off a program for your high school wrestlers that
we hope you will jump on. Please consider hosting a "USA Friday Night
Fight" at your school this spring. Host it the night before your kids
tournament, warm up the mats with Freestyle or Greco Roman action for your
high school kids. You will also be sure to draw some of the mat stars from
the past in the open division. The high school kids will love the format
not having to sit all day at a kids meet to get a match! This will also
free up your local high school wrestlers to help the next day at your kids
meet. We would like a standardized format so it is the same at each site.
The following is the recommended format for you to follow.
USA Friday Fight Nights
Where: at your High School
When: the night before your Local Kids Meet
5:00-6:00 Registration & Weigh-ins
Entry Fee $8.00
All Wrestlers must have a USA Card $20.00
Age Groups - High School Age & Open Division

Style of Wrestling: Freestyle or Greco Roman
Awards: Medals for the top three, .....plus a Team Trophy for the best
USA Sanctioned Team, present team roster at registration
6:30 Starting Time: Directors very period times and numbers in the
brackets to allow finishing by 10:00 PM.
