Middle School Dual Team Info

Must qualify for the Nebraska USA dual team at the USA folk style state
tournament in Grand Island on March 9th, 2008.
We will be taking 2 teams again this year. We are going to Danville
instead of Indianola, because the Indianola tournament is the same date
as Huskerland this year. The weight classes for the 7th and 8th grade
have been modified to match the Danville USA National dual weights and
we are now going with "grade divisions" instead of age at our state
tournament. This will cut down on 80% of the wrestle offs that have
occurred in the past. The dual team is for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th
graders. You can not be 16 years old. The lowest weight class this year
is 75 lbs. All wrestlersmust make the weight they want to wrestle for
the dual team at the state tournament. There will be no weight allowance
this year. There will be some wrestle offs in the lower weight classes
to give the champions in the 5th and 6th grade a chance to make one of
the two teams. These additional wrestle offs will be at the discretion
of the Nebraska USA Directors. If you want to be on the Nebraska USA
Middle School dual team, you must be at the Nebraska USA state
tournament. The cost per wrestler is currently $260. We do require
payment by check to be given at the State Tournament. In the past, we
have accepted them by mail, but this year there isn’t a lot of time
between the State tournament and the National duals. Please come
prepared. The check is to be made out to Nebraska USA Wrestling. The
cost is a little higher this year because there aren’t as many weight
classes and the charter bus is $1000 more than last year. I will have
approximately 9 extra seats on the charter bus available for parents.
The cost for these seats will be $100 per seat. These are on a first
come, first serve basis. We are also looking for donations, so if you
can do your part in your area of the State, it would be appreciated.

I have rented a charter bus and have 24 rooms currently reserved at the
Super 8 in Danville.
